I was emailed about this AMV contest that Tokyopop is currently holding. They’re asking fans to remix scenes from two of their manga titles into videos with songs they provide. The two manga are Bizenghast and Riding Shotgun in case you’ve read them before. All submissions are due by Sunday night, and they’ll then pick four finalists who get voted on the Tokyopop website, then the winner from there will get a video iPod and have their video featured on Tokyopop’s YouTube channel.

The only Tokyopop work I’m really familiar with is Someday’s Dreamers (which is Japanese, not OEL) is one of the better manga I’ve read, and I’m sure they’ve picked some good ones for this contest. At least the Riding Shotgun one, that looks like a cool, criminal road trip story, kind of like something I imagine Tarantino would direct.
